New Movie on Treasure Inside

| Treasure Inside has a new Introduction Yesterday I finished another movie in the Treasure Inside series. An Explanation is the new introduction to the series. (Yes, I am deleting the old intro "Doorways & Cars". Decided it wasn't good enough.) This new intro is 3 minutes long (3:25 to be exact) and clearly states the thinking behind the series. "And just what is the behind thinking??" you may be asking. The movies talk about discoveries that come when I feel simple beauty inside myself ... that's all. A pretty universal message, that is, and one that cannot be repeated too much, I believe. I want the movies to be "talk openers" -- that is, a way to start conversations about the beauty inside, if the time calls for other than talk about the weather. Now that this new intro is finished, I will be working on a DVD collection of whole series. This DVD collection will be sold (at a very low price) on the Treasure Inside website. In addition, it will eventually have the option for closed captioning and translation to Spanish and maybe other languages. Viewing the movies Are you in a coffeeshop? No speakers? HOH? For those who can't hear the sound, there is Closed Captioning on Youtube. Select the movie you want to watch and press the CC button on the right side. If you aren't seeing the captions, enable them via the Youtube playbar. (I'm afraid this is not working right now. My CC doctor will be looking at this soon.) The best display is through Vimeo, but many computers are not able to play this correctly. If your computer sputters and pauses, try the CC (YouTube) button, or try waiting for the movie to download before playing it. If you still have trouble, please contact me. I want to find solutions so everybody is able to watch them. I am planning a bunch more movies and I will be sending email like this for each new movie. Flash Bulletin - East Africa Famine Relief
The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) will offer assistance to people in East Africa who are suffering because of the famine that is taking an unprecedented toll in human lives. Donations to help can now be made on the TPRF donations page. Over 11 million people are at risk of starvation resulting from severe droughts in East Africa. With the most serious famine occurring in Somalia, the danger zones extend across Ethiopia to northern Kenya, Sudan, and even northeast Uganda. Children are the most vulnerable. TPRF will offer a $25,000 grant to help provide food and water to help people survive this tragedy. All contributions for this initiative received by August 14, 2011 will be added to the amount of the grant. Together we can make a bigger impact to help these people in need. |
What do you, as a human being who has been given this gift of life, want?
I am not the first person to make this statement — "that which you are looking for is inside of you." It is the oldest statement. And the thing about this statement, is that whenever it is said, it appears to be new — as if you have never heard it before, even though you have, again and again.
That which you are looking for is inside of you.
It means there is something here which I need to know: that my fulfillment is not far from me.
That my contentment is not far from me.
That my joy is not far from me.
That my life is not far from me.
I carry within, the key that will unlock all my locks. I carry within the answer that will answer all my questions. My understanding, my clarity, is within me.
The shelter I seek from the rain of the world is within me, and is not far from me.
And there is no greater truth than that.
I have seen it. I have traveled the world. I have gone from one country to another country where people don't speak the same language. The currency doesn't work; the way they drive is different. The way they conduct business is different. The way people look is different.
Talk about differences. But amongst all those differences, I have seen a beautiful, simple similarity. And what is similar? That we all yearn for that beautiful thing within us.

Exploring The Keys
Prem Rawat, widely known as Maharaji, offers a way to discover peace within — four practical techniques which enable anyone to turn their attention inside in order to experience the feeling that resides there. He calls these techniques Knowledge: the know-how to go within.
The Keys are specially designed by Maharaji to help clarify key points of understanding. There are six Keys. The first five consist of video presentations with various supporting videos that build on each Key's theme. Watching these helps a person develop the necessary understanding to comprehend what's being offered and to enjoy Knowledge to the fullest. The sixth Key is shown during a special session in which Maharaji teaches the techniques of Knowledge via a video presentation. Such sessions take place throughout the year all over the world. It is a gift from Maharaji to anyone that requests it.
In describing Knowledge, Maharaji has said:
What I offer is more than words. I offer the know-how to access the experience of peace and fulfillment within. I call it Knowledge. What Knowledge makes possible is an enjoyment of life that is independent of circumstances. It is a way to connect to the experience of the self that lies within.
He goes on to say that:
Knowledge consists of four techniques that enable a person to turn their attention from the outside to the inside. It is not imagination or visualization. It is a practical way to focus within to access what is already there.
The journey of Knowledge is a journey of self-discovery. For those who wish to make this journey, I offer to help them prepare to learn the techniques of Knowledge, and I provide ongoing inspiration and guidance for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Nuts and Bolts

What exactly is going on at the Food for People construction site in Otinibi, Ghana? I wanted a nuts and bolts update. Who better to ask, I figured, than the Project Manager, Emmanuel Kojo Adjei.
Thanks to the wonders of instant Skype communication, I had Emmanuel on the line less than twenty-four hours later. His clear voice speaking in perfect English with a distinguished British accent sounded like it came from around the corner.
Emmanuel told me he visits the FFP construction site on average every other day. His construction company is building the facility at cost. He spends the balance of his working hours earning a living. While at the site, Emmanuel answers questions from paid workers and volunteers, directs the work flow of the project, and ensures that the quality of the work meets a high standard.
Emmanuel reports that the foundation for the building is now complete as well as the concrete slab base for the floor. Concrete pillars are also now in place. Next, concrete blocks will be stacked in between the pillars to form rooms.
After the shell is complete, gable work will begin to build a slanted roof. Emmanuel said he is considering installing solar energy panels on the roof as a backup power system. After the roof is completed, the interior finish will begin, including plastering, tiling and carpeting, ceilings, painting and electrical wiring. Finally, a fence will be erected around the property. The project is scheduled to be completed in mid-November, 2011.
Emmanuel said volunteers have worked at the site on three occasions. The next volunteer session is scheduled for July 23. Support from the Otinibi community is increasing now that the villagers see the facility rising out of the ground.
I asked Emmanuel if the villagers had seen videos of the other FFP facilities in operation, thinking this would also serve to inspire them. Emmanuel kindly reminded me that the villagers live in mud huts without electricity and access to the Internet.
It occurred to me that, in one sense, it might not be such a bad thing that the villagers have not seen a Food for People facility in operation. I can hardly wait to see the wonder, joy, and surprise in the eyes of the children when the Ghana FFP opens.
