Ex-Inmates Join Correctional Official to Plan Peace Education for Parolees Watch the video here! (9 min) Hope Cavillo, who has been involved with the San Antonio, Texas correctional systems for more than 25 years, recently became fascinated by the affect that TPRF’s Peace Education Program (PEP) has had on inmates of the Dominguez State Jail.

After hearing Prem Rawat speak at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), she decided to take action.
Working with Roberto and Chantal Piriz, San Antonio citizens who have volunteered their time to facilitate PEP classes at Dominguez for five years, she helped organize a panel to discuss how to start the PEP outside prison walls, especially to support inmates being released from jail or prison and their families.
The first people Cavillo turned to were four participants of PEP at Dominguez who had been released withinpep panel parolles
the last two years. They all accepted to come to the panel discussion, showing as much commitment as Cavillo for making this program more widely available.
