HOW CAN WE GET IN TOUCH WITH THAT INNATE NEED TO BE FULFILLED?
You need to understand the power of choice. When you wake up in the morning, think about how you can make today a little more beautiful. Don’t just think about all the things you have to get done and how difficult that day is going to be. Even if it looks similar to the other days, it’s not. You can choose to spend that day in peace with yourself.
When you see someone who has mastered something, it’s because they have practised it, day after day. In the same way if you practise feeling irritable every day at work, you’ll become a master at it. But, if you practise understanding and kindness to those around you, you’ll become good at that. You cannot change people who you don’t get on with, but you can learn to distance yourself from the negative emotions they evoke in you. You can change how you respond to others.
IS IT EASY TO GET TO KNOW THE SELF?
Yes, it’s very simple.
When you don’t know the self, it brings a discomfort. If you want to blame that discomfort on other things, you can. You can say, ‘He said something nasty to me.’ In the end the solutions won’t be found outside of you. Acknowledge that you want to feel good in your life and begin to take action, so that it can become a reality for you.
