Help for East Africa

The Prem Rawat Foundation wants to help people in East Africa who are suffering because of the famine that is taking an unprecedented toll in human lives. Donations for this purpose can now be made here.

Over 11 million people are at risk of starvation because of severe droughts in East Africa. The most serious famine is occurring in Somalia, but the danger zones extend across Ethiopia to northern Kenya, Sudan, and northeast Uganda. Children are the most vulnerable.

As it has in many critical situations of a similar nature, TPRF will identify a reputable entity to receive its aid grant, one providing effective help on the ground in a highly efficient way. TPRF adds no cost of its own to these donations.

TPRF will make a $25,000 grant for food and water to help people survive this crisis. All contributions for this initiative received by August 14, 2011 will be added to the amount of the grant. Together we can make a bigger impact to help these people in need.
